About Mahila Samman Savings Certificate (MSSC)


MSSC is a small savings scheme exclusively for women and girls. It offers a fixed high interest rate for a short tenure.


  • Interest Rate: 7.5% per annum (Compounded Quarterly).
  • Investment Limit: Min ₹1,000, Max ₹2,00,000.
  • Tenure: 2 Years fixed.
  • Partial Withdrawal: Up to 40% of the balance allowed after 1 year.
  • Eligibility: Can be opened by a woman for herself or by a guardian for a minor girl.
